Borden County student wins Silver Medal at USA National Shotgun Championships
Over the weekend in Fort Carson, Colorado, Ryann Phillips, a freshman at Borden County High School competed in the USA National Shotgun Championships.

GAIL, TX (KCBD) - Over the weekend at Fort Carson, Colorado, Ryann Phillips, a freshman at Borden County High School competed in the USA National Shotgun Championships.

The top shooters from across the country, as well as international shooters competed over four days, with the match concluding on October 3 with the top six shooters in each category moving on.

Phillips qualified for the Junior Women’s Final in the International Trap, where she scored 210 hits out of 250 targets.

In the end, the Borden County Coyote finished the finals as an USA Shooting’s National Junior Women’s Silver Medalist.

With finishing second, that landed Phillips on the USA Shooting’s 2018-19 National Junior Team.

Being a part of the team has its perks, like being provided with a personalized USA shooting vest.

It will also provide Phillips the opportunity to represent the USA Junior team at several matches throughout the nation during the 2018-19 year.
