LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Coming off of the first trip to the Elite Eight in program history the Texas Tech men’s basketball team has been picked to finish seventh in the Big 12 Preseason Poll, the league’s coaches released on Friday.
This is the third consecutive year that the Red Raiders have been selected to finish seventh.
The team finished last season ranked No. 6 in the nation and returns eight players off last year’s team that won 27 games and went 11-7 in Big 12 Conference play.
The 2018-19 Big 12 Preseason Poll goes as follows:

8. Oklahoma (21)

Kansas was a unanimous selection by the league coaches – as they received nine first place votes.
