LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -The 8th ranked Red Raiders (13-1, 2-0 Big 12) get another huge Big 12 test 8pm Tuesday night as No. 22 Oklahoma (12-2, 1-1) comes to the United Supermarket Arena.
The Red Raiders defense is second in the nation giving up only 53.1 points a game. Tech is 9th in margin of victory winning by 20.4 points a game.
Texas Tech and Oklahoma have split their games the last three season with the home team winning ever game.
Tech Students are still out of town on winter break so Chris Beard is asking all Red Raider fans to get their face in the place at the USA Tuesday night.
“Fans in this area of the State and Eastern New Mexico to place come support the team. We are trying to do a lot of things to make it more of a game experience. We are going to need a great crowd to play against an Oklahoma team that in my opinion will be in the fight for the Conference Championship. They are one of the most experienced older teams in the country. They have one of the best coaches in the history of our game so we are going to need everyone’s help to try and protect our home court.”
Oklahoma is coming off a 10 point win over Oklahoma State after losing their Big 12 opener to Kansas 70-63.
Texas tech will go on the road this weekend to visit Texas in Austin.
