LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock Police and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force have arrested a man wanted for a Christmas Eve shooting near the Marsha Sharp Freeway at Ave. Q.
Police arrested 29-year-old Orian Garcia Tuesday afternoon in the 7300 block of 21st Street.
According to a release, LPD says Garcia intentionally crashed his car into another car at that intersection on the afternoon of Dec. 24. Police say Garcia then started shooting at a man and woman attempting to run from the car, hitting the man.
The 26-year-old unidentified man was taken to UMC with what were described as serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Through their investigation, police discovered Garcia had been in a previous relationship with the woman.
He’s been charged with aggravated assault and booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center.
