Students arrive early to support Tech in game against Iowa State

Texas Tech fans fired up for Iowa State game

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Tech students started lining up four hours before tip-off to see Tech take on Iowa State at 8:00 p.m. at the United Supermarkets Arena.

Texas Tech student Dylan Winn said it’s going to be an explosive game. “I can’t wait to see Tech play Iowa State. It might be high scoring, it might be close, but I can’t wait to see Tech defeat the Cyclones.”

It’s the first home game to attend for students returning for the spring semester, and fans have high expectations for the team’s performance.

Winn said Davide Moretti and Jarrett Culver have been the shining stars of the team lately. “I can’t wait to see both of them play. I really want to see Odiase get a bit better at his three’s, hopefully he’s been practicing.”

Texas Tech student Allison Green said she wants Tech to win, and she expects they will. “You could call me a die-hard fan, because I’m always checking Twitter to see how the national rank stands."

Some students are expecting even greater success down the road.

Texas Tech student Zachary Marlar said his expectation is another elite eight run, if not further. “Texas Tech all the way."
