South Plains Lanes set to host PBA Lubbock Sports Open

PBA Lubbock Sports Open at South Plains Lanes

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock is turning into a destination for some of the world’s top Bowlers.

Over the last few years, Lubbock has hosted some PBA Xtra Frame events out at South Plains Lanes.

The events brought some big names to Lubbock and were broadcasted solely on the internet.

This week, the PBA’s best will head to Lubbock, for the PBA Lubbock Sports Open.

“South Plains Lanes has been a great supporter of the PBA, and it’s all because of Jimbo,” PBA Southwest Region Manager Pete McCordic said. “Jimbo gets all of the sponsors. Lubbock Sports has been a great sponsor for the PBA and all of these tournaments. Jimbo works hard to have great tournaments, and you can see by the field even the regional tournament. We have former players of the year and current players of the year, a lot of PBA Tournament champions bowling, so it will be a fantastic week.”
