LEVELLAND, TX (KCBD) - Two of Lubbock’s Most Wanted Fugitives were arrested in Levelland this week. Officials say they are both gang members; one is a Tango Blast gang member, the other a Sureno gang member.

According to Hockley County officials, 30-year-old Ismael Colon Jr. was arrested by Levelland Police in the parking lot of Stripes on Hwy. 114 in Levelland last Wednesday. He was asleep in the passenger seat of the vehicle. He didn’t respond after verbal commands, so he was forcibly removed from the vehicle. According to officials, he resisted arrest. After a short struggle, he was placed under arrest. He was wanted on two felony warrants. He is affiliated with the West Texas Tango Blast gang, according to Hockley County officials.

Officials say 6.8 grams of methamphetamine was found in his pocket, along with .11 ounces of marijuana. He was charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest. He also had a warrant for escape out of Hockley County. He is being held in the Hockley County Jail on a combined $70,500 bond.

Vincent Torres, 20, was arrested on Thursday during a search warrant on 8th Street in Levelland. Torres, who is known to be affiliated with the Sureno gang, jumped out of a window to avoid being arrested, but was arrested by DPS in the backyard of the house. DPS troopers found approximately a half ounce of meth inside the house.

Two other people inside the house were arrested; 28-year-old Jalisa Salazar and 33-year-old Anthony Flores, both confirmed members of the West Texas Tangos.

Salazar and Flores were arrested and have since been released from jail.

Torres was wanted for aggravated robbery and two counts of aggravated assault from Hockley County. He is a suspect in a shooting which happened in November on Avenue K.

The Lubbock County SWAT, Texas DPS, Hockley County Sheriff’s Office and Levelland Police all assisted with the search warrant.

Torres is in the Hockley County Jail on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated robbery, possession of a controlled substance and criminal trespassing. He is being held on a $104,000 bond.
