WILMINGTON, DE (KCBD) - Four days ago, former Red Raider Zhaire Smith started the process of making his way back and returning to Philadelphia after recovering from a broken foot and a food allergy issue.
The 19-year old guard was assigned to the 76ers G-League team (Delaware Blue Coats) to participate in non-contact drills before ramping up activities over the new few weeks.
But six days ago, the Delaware Blue Coats announced that the team acquired Keenan Evans from the Grand Rapids Drive.
So that means for the first time since March of 2018, Keenan Evans and Zhaire Smith are teammates.
Before being traded to the Delaware Blue Coats, Keenan Evans played in 23-games for the Grand Rapids Drive – where he averaged 14.4 points per game, three rebounds and three assists.
