Texas Tech gets road win vs Oklahoma

NORMAN, OK (KCBD) - For the first time since 2014, the Red Raiders went into the Lloyd Noble Center and left victorious.

The Red Raiders got out to a fast start and never looked back in Norman, as they beat the Sooners 66-54 on Saturday afternoon.

This was one of the best performances the Red Raiders have had on the road this season.

Brandone Francis was a huge spark off the bench in the first half for Texas Tech, as he tallied all 11 of his points in the first half.

Davide Moretti led the team with 14 points, while Jarrett Culver had 13, and Matt Mooney had 11.

The Red Raiders sweep the Sooners on their season series for the first time since 2014.

This was Chris Beard’s first win in Norman as the head coach of the Red Raiders.

With the win, Texas Tech improves to 19-5, 7-4 in Big 12 Conference play.

Up next for the team, they will face Oklahoma State in Stillwater on Wednesday, tipoff slated for 6 p.m.
