ALBERTA, CA (KCBD) - For the last seven years, Former Red Raider defensive back Jamar Wall has been a key piece in the backfield for the CFL’s Calgary Stampeders.
Now 31 years old, the Plainview-native made it official that he is coming back to his former team by re-signing with the Grey Cup Champions on Friday afternoon.
Wall has played in 112 career regular season games and has amassed 344 tackles, 18 interceptions, forced five fumbles and has six fumble recoveries over the past seven years. Wall has appeared in 11 post-season games including four Grey Cups. He was also part of the Stampeders 2014 and 2018 championship teams.
In a press release sent out by the Calgary Stampeders – Wall had this to say on re-signing with the team.
“It’s good to be back with my teammates and the organization that gave me an opportunity seven years ago,” said Wall. “It’s going to be fun showing my versatility and ability to play at a high level at my age.”
