Lubbock DA reveals sign to honor man killed by drunk driver

Sign posted to honor drunk driving victim

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A man who died in after a collision in South Lubbock County is being remembered with a reminder to drivers to not drink and drive.

The Lubbock County District Attorney shared this photo showing a sign being installed Friday in memory of Patrick Haden, who died as a result of a crash on Highway 87.

Haden’s truck was hit by another vehicle driven by a drunk driver who ran a stop sign in August of 2015. Haden was taken off life support in October of the same year.

Not only is this a beautiful tribute but a powerful message to drivers regarding the extreme dangers of drinking and driving.
