LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -Thirty-two-year-old Courtney Dobbins has been arrested by U.S. Marshals in Odessa in connection to a shooting on Wednesday morning in Central Lubbock.
Police were called to the home near 6100 Avenue S around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday after the shooting was reported. EMS took the woman victim to University Medical Center, where she was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim reported to police she was shot with a handgun before the suspect fled, according to a police report. LPD’s Domestic Violence Squad investigated the case and secured a warrant for Dobbins.
Local U.S. Marshals and members of the fugitive task force started to search for Dobbins and were told he was in the Odessa area. He was located by marshals and has since been booked in the Ector County jail on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
There is currently no timeline on when he will be taken back to Lubbock.
