LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A juvenile was arrested Wednesday night and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawfully carrying a weapon after a shooting in Palomos Custom Tattoos at 2102 Clovis Rd.
Police reported to the area around 8 p.m. Wednesday.
It is reported the victim was a shot in the shoulder and driven to University Medical Center, according to a Lubbock Police Department report. Witnesses said the victim and the suspect were in the front room of the building and got into an argument about car parts.
A witness said he and the victim told the suspect to leave because the suspect was causing problem. The suspect left, but came back shortly after and pulled out a gun, shooting the victim once in the shoulder.
The victim then ran through the back of the building, got in a car and left with another person to the hospital. The suspect ran off on foot.
When police arrived at the tattoo shop to investigate the scene, the juvenile suspect returned and surrendered himself to authorities. He has since been booked into the Lubbock County Juvenile Justice Center.
No identities have been released.
