LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - After the top half of the first inning, the Red Raiders trailed the Oregon Ducks 8-0.
The Ducks scored those eight runs off of just four hits.
From there, the Red Raiders just started chipping away at the lead until they took it in the bottom of the seventh.
Once the Red Raiders took the lead, they never gave it up – as they beat Oregon by a final of 12-11.
In the game, Texas Tech had 11 strikeouts, 10 hits and 12 RBI’s.
Lubbock-native Braxton Fulford had a big day at the plate, as he had two homeruns in his first game this season – after only hitting one last year.
With the win, Texas Tech improves to 1-1 on the season and will be back in action on Sunday – when they host Oregon at 2 p.m.
