LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock man is in jail after he posted intimate photos of his ex-girlfriend to social media.

Ruben Arguijo, 47, was arrested on Jan. 29 after uploading the photos to his personal Facebook page.

According to a police report, Arguijo was initially arrested for violating his parole, but warrants have stacked up while he has been in jail. On Feb. 6 he had warrants issued for his arrest for invasive visual recording and domestic violence with prior convictions.

The former girlfriend said she had not given Arguijo permission to take the photos of her, or to post them online. She told police she had reported the photos to Facebook administrators multiple times, and that Arguijo had also started leaving threatening comments towards her with the photos.

The woman also told police how Arguijo assaulted her the day before Thanksgiving last fall. She said he threatened her with a gun, dragged her by her hair and kicked her in her stomach even though he knew she was pregnant. She advised she did not file a report because she was afraid of what he might do if police got involved.

Arguijo is currently in the Lubbock County Detention Center on bonds totaling more than $55,000.
