LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - It was a victory bells kind of weekend, as No. 3 Texas Tech took down Kentucky by a final of 19-4.
With the win, the Red Raider baseball team can bust out the broom sticks, as they swept the Kentucky Wildcats in the three-game series.
Over the weekend, the Red Raiders were seeing the ball extremely well at the plate.
On Sunday alone, Tech scored their 19 runs off 19 hits, and 13 walks.
Mason Montgomery picks up the win for Tech, after tossing five innings and giving up two runs.
With the win, Texas Tech improves to 5-1 on the season and are now gearing up for a mid-week game against New Mexico State.
First pitch against the Aggies on Tuesday is at 2 p.m.
