LUBBOCK, TX (NEWS RELEASE) - Learn how to make tamales! Rawlings Community Center will be hosting its two-part Tamale Making Workshop on April 12-13, 2019.
Part I of the workshop will be Friday, April 12, from 6-8 p.m., when participants will learn how to make the meat filling of the tamale.
On Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., participants will work with the masa, then assemble and cook the tamales during Part II of the workshop.
At the end, participants will take home a half-dozen homemade tamales.
The cost is $20 per person for the two-day workshop and includes all supplies needed to make the tamales.
Preregister by Thursday, April 11 at Rawlings Community Center or online at www.playlubbock.com. Rawlings Community Center is located at 213 40th Street (40th Street and Avenue B).
