KCBD, NewsChannel 11 Lubbock |Suspects arrested in Brownfield for first degree murder

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Two men are behind bars in Terry County suspected of first degree murder. According to the Brownfield News, Brownfield Police arrested 20-year-old Mike Contreras Tuesday and 24-year-old Chris Martinez July 30th in connection with the murder of Pete Martinez on July 20th.
Authorities believe the incident began after two men flagged down a Terry County Sheriff's Deputy around 11:45 the night of July 20th and said they had been robbed at gunpoint. Investigators believe they went to Pete Martinez's home, looking for revenge.
