KCBD, NewsChannel 11 Lubbock |Funeral arrangements set for Alex Brown of Seagraves

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Funeral arrangements have been set, and a memorial fund set up for a Seagraves High School senior killed Tuesday in a car accident.
DPS Troopers say 17-year-old Alex Brown was traveling on Old Seagraves Road sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
When she didn't make it to school, her mother went looking for her. That is when she found Alex's truck and called 911 just before 10:00 a.m.
DPS says the truck skidded 300 feet and flipped. Aero Care took Brown to University Medical Center where she later died. Troopers say Alex was not wearing a seatbelt.
Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church in Brownfield. The church is located at 402 West Broadway in Brownfield.
Seagraves High School will dismiss at 12:30 p.m., and buses will take students to the church.
Donations are also being accepted in honor of Alex Brown and her family. Contributions can be made at the Wellman Co-op Gin, American State Bank in Brownfield, or Rowden Farm Supply in Brownfield.
