LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Lubbock City Council settles a dispute with Garza County landowners.
NewsChannel 11 was first to report that the two sides agreed in principle, and now it's official. The city is paying for the right to lay a water pipeline across the people's properties for the Lake Alan Henry project. The city will pay $85 per rod which is 16-and-a-half feet.
This agreement covers all the easements for phase one of the project. It will be built in three phases.
