LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - A grand jury has indicted a former truck driver who is imprisoned in Virginia with first-degree murder in connection with the 2001 death of an Anthony woman.

The Dona Ana County Sheriff's Department says 25-year-old Heather Lynn Eiche was found beaten to death near an Anthony truck stop.

The Dona Ana County Sheriff's Department's cold case unit received information from Virginia State Police that 38-year-old Ronald King claimed responsibility for her death.

The grand jury also indicted King on charges of kidnapping and tampering with evidence.

The sheriff's department says King worked as a cross-country truck driver from 1991-2005. They say he sent investigators a map detailing where Eiche's body was found.

King is expected to be extradited to New Mexico to face charges.
