KCBD, NewsChannel 11 Lubbock |Judge Darnell recusal hearing delayed

Judge Jim Bob DarnellLUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Questions surrounding District Judge Jim Bob Darnell will have to wait a while longer.
Local Defense Attorney Rod Hobson says Judge Darnell owes a favor to the Lubbock County District Attorney's office for helping his son avoid a drunk driving arrest.
Therefore, Hobson wants Darnell removed from all cases involving the D.A.'s office.
District Attorney Matt Powell says the accusation is not true.
Judge Darnell's attorney had a personal conflict with Wednesday morning's scheduled recusal hearing, so it has now been rescheduled for December 16th.
