LOS LUNAS, N.M. (AP) - A Los Lunas police officer is in trouble with the law after she crashed her personal car early Thanksgiving Day.
State police say Nikki Baca was off duty when she ran off the road and hit a fence.
Police said her breath alcohol level was 0.12 percent. The legal limit for presumed intoxication is 0.08 percent.
Baca is facing a charge of driving while intoxicated and has been suspended for a week without pay. She also has been ordered to attend counseling while police investigate the incident.
