HOBBS, NM (AP) - Authorities say a Lubbock man driving too fast caused a fatal accident near Lovington, New Mexico. New Mexico State Police report that Dora Salinas, 65, of Lovington died yesterday afternoon, following the accident along State Highway 18.
Investigators say Christopher Polomo, 31, of Lubbock rear-ended Salinas' pick-up, pushing it off the roadway. Salinas was ejected from the truck as it overturned.
Investigators say excessive speed contributed to the wreck. So far, no arrest has been made.
