Jennifer Beadles, Source: Terry County Sheriff's DepartmentWELLMAN-UNION, TX (KCBD) - A Wellman-Union teacher indicted for having an inappropriate relationship with a student pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.
Jennifer Beadles, 36, pleaded guilty to online harassment, which is a Class-A misdemeanor. She received two years deferred adjudication and 80 hours of community service.
She must also pay a $1,000 fine, court costs, and give up her Texas teaching certificate.
Beadles was indicted in March on a charge of having an inappropriate relationship with a student. She was accused of kissing and inappropriately touching a Wellman-Union High School student in a sexual manner in October and November of 2009.
In March, Beadles turned herself in to the Terry County Sheriff's Department where she posted a $5,000 bond and was released.
