He spent almost 18 years on Florida's death row for a crime he didn't commit.
Juan Roberto Melendez will speak at the Texas Tech University Law School forum Monday at 12:30pm about his story of supreme injustice. Melendez was wrongfully convicted of murder, but 17 years later he was granted a new trial in which a taped confession by the real killer was permitted.
Monday Melendez will tell his story of an innocent man who spent almost two decades on death row.
