Tuition will increase next fall at Texas Tech University. On Friday, the Board of Regents approved a hike of $6 per credit hour. That brings the cost per credit hour to $135.
The Board of Regents also approved the new incentive-based tuition plan. Under this plan, students who graduate on time will be rewarded, and those who don't will be penalized.
Finally, a $60 energy fee was also approved to help pay for unbudgeted utility costs. All of these changes go into effect in the fall.
