Jury Awards Lubbock Woman $944,000 In Medical Malpractice Suit

A Lubbock doctor must pay nearly $1 million to a patient who suffered problems after having Lasik eye surgery.

Pamela Ware filed the medical malpractice suit against Dr. James Boop of Boop Laser Eye Center. After he performed surgery on Ware, her eye problems persisted. She eventually had to have a corneal transplant on one eye and still needs surgery on the other.

Now, a state district court jury has sided with Ware and awarded her $944,000.
