We now know the identity of the body found near Shallowater.  It is Kay Harrelson, the 51-year-old woman that disappeared Wednesday, August 9th.

Sunday, August 20th, a volunteer search party found the body in a bar ditch on FM 179 and County Road 6000 near Shallowater.  The body appeared to be mutilated and the head was detached from the body, investigators believe most likely by animals.
