Statement from General Manager Dan Jackson:
"Our investigative reporter Cecelia Jones was arrested at BSA in Amarillo last night while conducting an undercover NewsChannel 11 Investigative Report on hospital and maternity ward security. KCBD planned its story over the course of several weeks. We undertook it to inform the public on security measures that West Texas hospitals have taken in the wake of recent infant kidnappings in Lubbock by individuals posing as nurses. Cecelia did not at any time intentionally enter private areas in the hospital or at any time come into contact with any newborns or patients, nor did she intend to do so. She fully cooperated with authorities and hospital officials during their investigation. We look forward to resolving this misunderstanding with the Amarillo Police Department as soon as possible."
