I Like Mike Campaign To Split Fine Funds With Area Kids

Texas Tech alumni is raising money for Coach Mike Leach and is teaming up with a non-profit program called Communities in Schools on the South Plains.

The "I Like Mike Campaign" is raising money to help pay Coach Mike Leach's $10,000 fine. The Big 12 handed down the fine last week for comments Leach made about the officials in the Texas Tech-Texas game.

The money will go to the Texas Tech Athletic Department with the request that a portion of the money be used to help buy football tickets for area school kids.

Donations can be made at any Plains Capital Bank.
