Following all the political maneuvering lately and then Monday's debate, I'm starting to be asked who I'll support for Lubbock mayor.
Well, I will say that you will not see an endorsement for either candidate by me in this segment. That's for the voters to decide. But I will give you my thoughts on exactly how to pick this one.
Consider this, choosing between an incumbent mayor like David Miller or a challenger like Tom Martin boils down to one main question - are you happy with the direction the city is going or not?
If the answer is yes, then David Miller is the obvious choice. If you do not like the direction the city is going, Tom Martin is a better choice. It's as simple as that.
And make no mistake; your vote is very much about continuing on the same path or stopping and changing direction. But regardless of who you like for mayor, the most important thing you can do is go to the polls and vote.
Early voting is and soon and you'll have seven working days plus election day to exercise your right to vote. Make a choice, and make a difference.
