Who Can Enter
1. To be eligible to participate, entrants must be legal U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older.
2. Employees of Raycom Media - Lubbock, KCBD, City of Lubbock, United Super Markets, Scarborough Specialties Inc., Southerlands, Little Red Nursery, and it's franchisees and their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible. The term "immediate family members" includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. Only one winner per household if there is more than one winner per contest.
How to Enter
1. Drawing:
(a) No purchase is necessary to enter.
(b) Viewers may enter online at kcbd.com 1 time per week or by mailing a postcard to: Attn: A Greener Lubbock Giveaway, NewsChannel 11, 5600 Ave A., Lubbock, TX 79404. All mass emailer programs will be disqualified. Postcard must include the viewer's name, address and phone number. Each Wednesday afternoon, KCBD will draw one name from the qualifying entrants that have met the deadline for that week, that one person will be deemed the daily winner, pending verification.
(d) By submitting an entry, each contestant gives permission to KCBD to post and/or broadcast contestant's name. All entries received from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries become the property of Raycom Media - Lubbock, KCBD.
(e) Days & Times: Drawings to be held every Wednesday from March 30th - December 30th. Deadlines to submit entries:
The Prize(s)
1. 39 winners (1 per week every Wednesday from April 8th - December 30th) will be selected to win a Recycle Bucket, United Plastic Bag Holder, United ‘Bring Your Own Bag' Grocery Bag, City of Lubbock Giveaways (Pens, Bags, Notepads, Pamphlets, and Magnets), Scarborough Specialties Recycled Cardboard Notebook, Little Red Nursery bag of seeds, 4 Energy Efficient Fluorescent Light Bulbs, Bag of Seeds, and 1 Month Free Curbside Recycling Service - $30 Value.
2. Winner will be notified via telephone within one week of their name being drawn as a winner. Before claiming prizes, winners must provide their correct name, address, telephone number, to KCBD at the time of notification. Winner must be 18 years or older. Winner must show picture identification to claim prizes. Prizes MUST BE claimed at the KCBD-TV Studios located at 5600 Avenue A, Lubbock, TX 79404. KCBD reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented.
3. Failure to collect the prize within 10 days will constitute forfeiture of the prize. If forfeited, the prize will remain the property of KCBD. Another winner will not be selected for the forfeited prize.
4. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for the prize except at the sole discretion of KCBD. The Station has the right to substitute a prize of similar value. No transfer or assignment of the prize is allowed. Taxes are the responsibility of the winner.
5. KCBD, Raycom Media, City of Lubbock, United Super Markets, Scarborough Specialties Inc., Southerlands, Little Red Nursery, and its franchisees are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish the prize.
6. KCBD, Raycom Media, City of Lubbock, United Super Markets, Scarborough Specialties Inc., Southerlands, Little Red Nursery, and its franchisees are not responsible for any liabilities arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize.
7. KCBD, Raycom Media, City of Lubbock, United Super Markets, Scarborough Specialties Inc., Southerlands, Little Red Nursery, and its franchisees have the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.
Odds of Winning/Miscellaneous
1. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
2. Complete contest rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours at KCBD - TV 5600 Ave A., Lubbock, TX 79404.
3. All entrants must reside in NewsChannel 11's viewing area.
4. For a list of prize-winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to KCBD - TV 5600 Ave A., Lubbock, TX 79404 on or after January 1st, 2009.
5. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Raycom Media - Lubbock, KCBD, United Supermarkets, City of Lubbock, TG Trees, Universal Design Consortium, Scarborough Specialties Inc., and its franchisees accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
6. KCBD, Raycom Media, City of Lubbock, United Super Markets, Scarborough Specialties Inc., Southerlands, Little Red Nursery, and its franchisees cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes, or contest information.
7. KCBD, Raycom Media, City of Lubbock, United Super Markets, Scarborough Specialties Inc., Southerlands, Little Red Nursery, and its franchisees reserve the right to make rules and contest changes and change the aforementioned contest dates.
