Katie has wanted to be a reporter since she was 9 years old. She is excited to be in Lubbock, Texas finally getting that opportunity. She has always had a passion for news. She loves being able to meet people and tell their stories.
She grew up in Floyds Knobs, a small town in Southern Indiana, which is right across the river from Louisville, Kentucky. She comes from a big family with loving parents, two sisters and one brother.
Katie graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunication. While in school she worked as a reporter and photographer for NewsLink Indiana, WIPB-TV. Before graduating she interned at 84-WHAS News Radio in Louisville, Kentucky. She liked working in radio, but loves being able to tell a story with pictures.
In her spare time Katie enjoys working out, cooking, and spending time with friends and her boyfriend. Although it was tough leaving behind her family, friends, and boyfriend, Katie is very appreciative to be where she is today.
