NewsChannel 11 first told you about Candra Dee Payton, 32, in March of 2007, after allegations that she was having a sexual relationship with a 9th grade student.
A grand jury indicted Payton on a felony charge of sexual assault, indecency with a child, and a charge of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. The Seminole Sentinel reports that Payton accepted a plea deal Wednesday afternoon.
According to the newspaper, Payton will serve ten years of community supervision. She must also perform 400 hours of community service, pay court costs and a $10,000 fine.
Payton will also not be allowed to teach again, but the paper reports as part of the plea, she will not have to register as a sex offender.
