Up to the minute Severe Weather Coverage is just a text
away. Text your county name to 80611 just once, and KCBD will alert you
through text messages whenever the National Weather Service issues a Watch or
Warning for the county that you texted. The following counties are
available for free text alerts: Bailey, Borden, Briscoe, Castro, Cochran,
Cottle, Crosby, Dawson, Dickens, Floyd, Gaines, Garza, Hale, Hall, Hockley,
Kent, King, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn, Motley, Parmer, Scurry, Swisher, Terry,

It’s the call before the storm. KCBD NewsChannel 11’s First
Alert ThunderCall alerts you with a phone call when the National Weather
Service issues a Severe Thunder Storm Warning, Tornado Warning, or Flash Flood
Warning. ThunderCall alerts you based upon your address and can be setup
to call two phone numbers (most use their home phone and cell phone).
