    In 2015, Lubbock City Council voted to spend nearly $2 million in taxpayer money to equip every patrol officer with a body-worn camera. That purchase also included cameras for inside officers' patrol vehicles, but there are limits to how and when that footage may be released to the public.

    The KCBD investigative team has an update on a shocking discovery made in December 2016. Last month, we reported a construction crew discovered nine cremains when demolishing the Franklin-Barley Funeral Home. Those cremains were turned over to the Lubbock Police Department where a detective worked to identify them.
