Friends and neighbors agree, 89-year old Faye Gray made a huge impact on the city of Slaton. Residents of the 1400 block of West Crosby said she always offered up a wave and a smile. She lived in her Slaton home with her son Jay. Gray had another son and was a widow.

DPS Troopers think one of the drivers in a head-on crash south of Littlefield Saturday night had just been involved in another crash minutes before. The head on collision was at 11:15 PM along Highway 385, 1 mile south of Highway 84.
The short stacks were plenty today, as thousands of pancakes and thousands of people spent the day out at the Lubbock memorial civic center during the Lion's Club's 60th annual Pancake Festival. It's the largest pancake festival in the world.
