Cannon AFB airman charged with 50 counts of sexual exploitation

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Senior Airman at Cannon Air Force Base faces 60 felony charges.

Zebulon Benne, 24, was arrested Wednesday and remains in jail on a $500,000 bond. He is being charged with 50 counts of sexual exploitation of children and 10 counts of manufacturing child pornography.

A preliminary scan of Benne's computer found at least 50 images of pre-teen children engaged in sexual acts.

Benne was charged with manufacturing child pornography, based on evidence he copied or printed sexual images involving children. A complete analysis of the computer is expected to turn up more pictures and more charges.

Benne has been stationed at Cannon for the past 10 months.
