LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock man is behind bars in Potter County after police say he fatally shot a British tourist. Police arrested Ray Carlos Cisneros, 25, Saturday. He's charged with capital murder, and authorities say more charges are pending.

Investigators say Cisneros barged into the "Spotted Pony Bar" Thursday night and began punching and shooting at patrons.  Thomas George Reeve, 28, was fatally injured. Another man was shot in the hand, and a woman was sexually assaulted during the robbery.

The victim's parents in that deadly shooting speak out. Maggie Reeve says her son Thomas was on a month long sightseeing trip from San Francisco to Florida with a group of friends. They had been planning for about a year to make a stop in Amarillo.

"He was happy-go-lucky, loved life. Generous, kind I don't think you'd find anybody that didn't have a good word for him. And always with a smile," says Maggie Reeve.

Reeve's mother says her son, who leaves behind a 9-month-old daughter, wanted to stop in Amarillo because he liked the famous Tony Christie song bearing the city's name.
