Judge Blackburn Retires

A Lubbock judge is retiring after more than a decade with the court system. Judge Bob Blackburn's last day is Friday.

He has been a justice of the peace for 16 years, and has overseen numerous cases in the Lubbock area. Blackburn is married with two kids, and two grandchildren.

He says over the years he has formed a bond with his colleagues, and they have become like family to him. Blackburn presided over Precinct 4, and will be replaced by Jean Ann Straton.
