The crew at Hearts and Hooves of Lubbock wants to say thank you, and what better way than with a barbeque.
A pit bull attack in January killed two of their miniature horses, and severely injured three others. The horses provided therapeutic healing to people across the South Plains. After the attack, community members donated thousands of dollars to help with medical bills.
As way to thank people for their support, the Hearts and Hooves organization is hosting a barbeque Saturday afternoon at Kenny's Corral. That's located at C.R. 7500 and Slide Road.
The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. You are asked to bring a canned good to benefit the South Plains Food Bank. Besides the barbeque, you can also get a picture with the minis, or take a hay ride and feed the animals at Kenny's Corral.
