Science Spectrum celebrate 20th Anniversary

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Science Spectrum invited folks over for a big anniversary bash Saturday, celebrating 20 years.  Guests enjoyed free cup cakes and ice cream. They also visited a petting zoo with elephant rides and feedings, and of course, they toured the museum with the new traveling exhibit, Sea Monsters.

"Today is crazy compared to other days. It's always busier on the weekends, but this is probably going to be one of our busiest Saturdays of the year," Science Spectrum Administrative Manager James Nesmith said.

"It's great, I mean it just doesn't bring science to Lubbock, but also the surrounding areas. We met some people from Hobbs and we're from Odessa," visitor Peggy Hollingsworth said.

"I love the Science Spectrum. It's really fun," visitor Anissa Garza said.  In case you're curious, crews served up more than 600 cup cakes and ice creams Saturday.
