DA's office indicts two Lubbock men for murder

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Tuesday the DA's Office indicted two suspects in the murder of 28-year-old John Wilkerson, known by family and friends as "John-John".

Patrick Davis, 23, and Earl Washington, 25, were both charged with murder in the death of Wilkerson. Wilkerson was gunned down in his driveway in the 2700 block of East 2nd Street, back in September of 2007. It sparked from a dispute. Police say all three were involved in gang activity.

Wilkerson's sisters admit he wasn't an angel but he deserves justice, "I hope whoever took it upon themselves to try and play God and take somebody's life, if they can go to sleep at night without any regrets. If they can sleep without thinking about this or they can wake up in the morning with a smirk on their face then they've been dead along time ago."

Both suspects are now sleeping and waking up in a prison cell and they have been for some time. Both men were already in custody on unrelated charges. Washington is in a federal facility in Three Rivers, Texas.

As for Patrick Davis, he will be spending a lot more time at the Lubbock County Jail.
