Man ejected after hitting utility pole near Idalou - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX. (KCBD) - A 26 year old man is in critical condition after hitting a utility pole near Idalou. Just after five Wednesday afternoon, Pedro Hinojos, lost control of his pickup and hit a utility pole about half a mile south of Idalou.

The impact of the crash ejected Hinojos, and split the pole. AeroCare transported him to Covenant, where he is listed in critical condition.

Authorities say he was not wearing a seatbelt, and speed could be a factor.
