LUBBOCK, TX. (KCBD) - There's still a two million dollar sore spot between Texas Tech and the Texas State University System.
In 2006, Tech and Angelo State University convinced the legislature to move ASU out of the Texas State System and into the Texas Tech University System. Texas State has been holding onto $1.8 million of dormitory fees ever since. The Texas State Chancellor is on record saying Tech and ASU don't get that money.
But a couple of lawmakers including Drew Darby of San Angelo say they'll do whatever it takes to get that money back for Tech and ASU.
