LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Two people are critically injured after a crash on the Northwest Loop. Police describe it as a hit & run. At least one woman was ejected. Among the passengers was an infant. Miraculously, the infant only suffered minor injuries according to an officer at the scene.
This happened about 6:40 p.m. Friday near the Quaker Avenue interchange. Lubbock Police Sgt. J. L. Curtis says, "From our preliminary investigation both vehicles where northbound on the Loop and came into contact somehow, which caused both vehicles to cross the median. When the van crossed the median, it flipped onto its side."
The driver of the other vehicle was found and arrested but police did not confirm the address of the arrest. Police have not yet released the names of anyone involved.
