Family rescued at Buffalo Springs Lake from sinking boat

BUFFALO SPRINGS, TX (KCBD) - NewsChannel 11 cameras caught the exclusive images right after three adults and one baby were rescued from a sinking boat.  Late Friday afternoon Tasha Sloan, her baby, her husband and a friend of her husband's, were boating at Buffalo Springs Lake.

Sloan says they suddenly noticed water coming on board.  They called for help, tried bailing out the boat and also tried paddling the boat to safety.

Sloan says, "I think we're trying to stay calm for her because she was starting to get fussy and we were just trying to make sure she's okay. That was our main concern.   But we're all good"

Sloan says she was amazed at how many rescue workers came and how quickly they got there.
