Former Councilman Patterson honored at banquet

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A former Lubbock City Councilman and his wife are honored for their contributions to the hub city. Local organization "Each One Reach One" hosted a banquet in T.J. and Bobbie Gene Patterson's honor.

Patterson says, "It's just a blessing for me to be here to stand vertical and thank God almighty for how good he's been to me and my family"

Money raised from the banquet will be used to set up a scholarship fund to Texas Tech in the Patterson's' name.   Patterson served on the council for 20 years.   And Bobbie Gene was an educator in the Lubbock public school system for 35 years before retiring.
