Car Accident Sends Two to the Hospital

Two Lubbock males are in the hospital Saturday night, following an accident on north 1-27. Just before 6:30 p.m., the Department of Public Safety was called out to I-27 near County Road 6200. DPS troopers say a pick up truck was traveling north on I-27 and that is when a Toyota Camry got in it's way.

A DPS trooper says, "Due to the Camry disregarding the stop sign on County Road 6200 and service road it pulled out in front of the pick up and the pick up struck the vehicle on the drivers side."

The driver and passenger of the Camry were both sent to University Medical Center with moderate injuries. The driver of the pick up truck was did not have any injuries.
